The Pow-R-Quik 22i Series Turbine Starter has three nozzle configurations are are used on the Pow-R-Quik 22i Series Turbine Starter where the pressure is considered low at 30 psi to 90 psi. Standard pressure from 90 psi to 120 psi and high pressure applications from 120 psi to 180 psi. The starter drive clutch setting is the main determining factor when choosing the correct starter. If the turbine starters are pressurized beyond its stated pressure too much torque would be created that could damage the starter drive. The Pow-R-Quik 22i Series Turbine Starter available at Strumco Air Starter requires no lubrication in the air stream, due to the turbine having no rubbing parts. All bearings are lubed for life.
The PRQ-TS-22i Turbine Starter as well as all air starters require clean air ,filters or strainer are strongly recommended to prevent foreign object damage to the rotating turbine wheels and stators.. An electric time delay is offered to prevent start attempts in a no start situation before the turbine wheels have stopped rotating
Straight and 90° degree exhaust adaptors are available at http://airstarter.ca. The Pow-R-Quik 22i Series Turbine Starter is shorter and has a lesser diameter than some competitors starter models, an adaptor is available that would allow the 22 series turbine starter to bolt up to existing exhaust plumbing to facilitate starter change out.
